SAULT STE. MARIE, Michigan - As
he usually does around this time of year, Kuk Sa Num, along with
Master Alex Suh and Kyo
Sa Nim 'Texas'
Joe, has honored the schools in Sault Ste. Marie with a personal
visit for testing and instruction.
The June 30 - July 1 events began with a test, supervised by the
Grandmaster himself, for those seeking advancement to black belt or
higher belts. The test was followed by a brief lunch and then a
three-hour seminar in which Kuk Sa Nim and Master Alex Suh instructed in a variety of topics, including
Dahn Bong (short sticks) forms and Ki
training.
The next day began with an early seminar for children. After that
seminar and a quick lunch, an advanced seminar was held that expanded
on the previous material. Following the third seminar was a mass black
belt promotion in which two students from Michigan
and nine students from Canada received black
